I rode him when he won easily at Ludlow in November and he obviously shot up the weights for that.  And while he has found life tougher since he has still run okay, and he stuck on well when fifth in the Devon National at Exeter last time. This trip will obviously take a lot of getting in soft ground, but the handicapper has dropped him 3lb for Exeter, he is a course winner who is well served by heavy ground, and maybe the blinkers replacing the cheekpieces will help, too. There are reasons to be optimistic.
