Evidently Chickentown? Pragmatic Play go down on the farm for their forthcoming release, Chicken Drop. And with a wilful disregard for the classic folk tale, here it’s not geese but the feathered fowls of the title who lay the golden eggs. Play Chicken Drop now
Visually, Chicken Drop has a charming, comedic style. Using a seven x seven grid structure with cluster pays, in this bright hued, bird-brained blast of farm-themed fun you’ll find a kooky-looking clucker taking the starring role.
And with the relaxing sound of farmyard animals lowing, bleating and cock-a-doodle-dooing in the background, together with some rather excellent sounding banjo-based music, Chicken Drop’s audio is top notch, too.
When it comes to winning clusters, symbols pay in blocks, with a minimum of five symbols connecting horizontally or vertically required for a payout.
There’s also a Tumble feature, which means that after every winning combination, the symbols in the combo will disappear, to be replaced by new symbols. These new symbols offer a further chance to make another winning combo – and if they do, another tumble will take place.
Look out for the somewhat prosaically titled Egg Feature (egg I said egg); when upgrade or multiplier symbols land on the reels, an egg will drop on the screen, revealing a cluster of paying symbols.
The size upgrade symbol can re-appear after a tumble – and can resize the egg so it takes up more space on the grid, from 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, 5×5 and finally 6×6. Multiplier upgrade symbols can boost the multiplier from an initial 2x to a maximum 11x.
Otherwise, pay special attention to the treasure chest – this is a Bonus symbol, and if four or more of these appear on the reels they’ll trigger the Free Spins feature. You can earn additional Free Spins if you can land four additional bonus symbols on a spin during the Free Spins, too.
Looking for a fine feathered endeavour into the mysterious, hitherto unseen world of the chicken, then? As sure as eggs is eggs, this could be your clucky day…
