So SG Digital’s forthcoming release Viking’s Ransom is set to be a welcome addition to 32Red’s casino when it arrives in February.

And while the developers may have used some artistic licence with their depiction of the Vikings – we’re not sure there were really any Viking ladies running around in glorified bikinis, for instance – this new slot from the Barcrest Game Studio is a blast.

First up, players will want to trigger the Reel Link bonus, which features Colossal symbols. With six reels on the slot, during any reel spin lightning can strike the reels, linking two of the reels together.

Once that happens, colossal symbols will appear on the linked reels – and what’s more, lightning can strike reels that have already been linked, awarding a mega link.

There’s also a Free Spins bonus that’s definitely got a lot going for it. Look out for the Viking longship symbol – three or more of these scatter symbols appearing anywhere in view will trigger the Berserker Free Spins.

You can earn between eight and 20 Free Spins, depending on how many scatters land on the reels, and additional Free Spins can be awarded while the feature is in play, if three or more scatter symbols turn up once again.
