Perhaps inspired by the overwhelming triumph of Brexit, fancy a historic romp through old London town? Wait, come back! Play Down the Rails now
No, seriously, this journey is actually worth embarking on. Mind the gap, and take great pains not to make eye contact with your fellow passengers. Down the Rails is due to arrive any time now!
With tons of modifiers, Down the Rails is a wild ride
And even if history isn’t your strong suit, this big smoke-based blockbuster makes for an entertaining ride. One where you don’t even have to stand with your face shoved into someone else’s armpit for much of the journey.
The player rides a time-travelling tube train, revisiting significant figures from the past.
That means the five reels are populated by such figures as Winston Churchill (even if he looks more like Don Rickles). William Shakespeare, Sir Isaac Newton, Henry VIII also pop up. And er, Florence Nightingale, maybe? I dunno.
Anyway, at least there’s a fair few modifiers to keep you engaged as you venture round old London town. Like Tunnel Vision, where mystery symbols will land on the display at random, transforming into the same symbol to give you a chance at a win.
Colossal symbols, Wilds & more
With the Big Smoke modifier, a 3×3 Colossal symbol is added, delivering a payout or else triggering a bonus.
With Wild Strike, Wild symbols are added to the display in random positions.
And with Shifting Stack, Stacked Wild symbols that take up more than one position on the reel are added. These Shifting Stacks also carry multipliers of x2 or x3, which will be applied to any winning combo that they are part of.
There’s also a Bonus Blitz that can award the main Bonus. Otherwise, it’s triggers when three or more Bonus symbols land anywhere on screen. At which point you can win one of five different features.
Discover a range of Free Spin options
With Pentonville, you’re awarded five Free Spins with respins. Kings Cross is another Free Spins game, this time where you can earn additional Wilds.
With Buckingham Palace, you’ll have eight Free Spins, with a fully stacked vertical Wild symbol present. And with Canary Wharf, once again you have eight Free Spins, while you’ll also be able to collect the various cash values on display.
Finally, End of the Line is a Hold & Respin type game – you’re given three respins and an empty grid, and whenever a symbol lands your respin counter will reset to three. The aim is to try to fill the grid before you run out of respins.
That’s a whole lot of features to keep you amused on this journey then – Down the Rails offers a whole carriage full of fun. All aboard!
