I rode him when he won over 7f in the soft at Deauville and I was impressed with him. He was a big, raw colt and clearly a work in progress but I was pretty taken with him. To be honest, I was a bit surprised that he didn’t follow up in the Champagne Stakes but he clearly didn’t run badly in finishing a close third there, and I think the step up to a mile will suit him. There are only seven runners in this Lagardere but all have a chance, including his stablemate Masar, who looked good in the Solario. Aidan run his Moyglare winner Happily and she has a big form chance, but the three French runners all need to improve.
