Premier League preview: Brighton vs Forest, Palace vs Wolves

Premier League preview: Brighton vs Forest, Palace vs Wolves

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest

Roberto De Zerbi is still looking for his first win as Brighton manager, slightly worryingly.

From the Italian’s point of view then, thank heavens for Nottingham Forest; it’s six defeats in seven matches for the newly promoted Forest. And Steve Cooper’s side have scored just one league goal on the road all season.

Brighton have drawn blanks in their last couple of matches too, but surely the Seagulls can find the net against a Forest side that have kept just a single clean sheet in this Premier League campaign.

Brighton are firm favourites, but you can improve the price by backing the hosts to win to nil at 6/5; given Forest’s struggles to find the net, it’s worth considering.

Otherwise, take a punt on Leandro Trossard at 5/1 to score first; Trossard bagged a hat trick against Liverpool earlier this month and has continued to look lively since then.

Crystal Palace vs Wolves

Wolves took the points against Forest at the weekend, but even against the Premier League’s current whipping boys it could have been different if Forest hadn’t failed to convert their penalty.

Wolves’ own winning goal came through a pen; prior to Saturday’s result, they’d drawn blanks in four of their previous five matches.

But Palace also underwhelmed at the weekend, mustering only one shot on target against Leicester. Can they improve on Tuesday?

The Eagles have certainly enjoyed recent meetings between the two sides. Palace have won each of the last three encounters, with Wolves failing to notch a single goal.

And given the visitors’ current lack of spark, Palace still look a good bet to continue their winning run against the rudderless Wolves, still without a coach since Bruno Lage’s exit. The hosts are 6/5 for the win; again, you can spice that price up by backing Palace to win to nil at 49/20.
