Zillard King upgrades with Gold Coins
Look for Gold Coins, for instance. These items can appear on any symbol, and if they land during the same spin as a Zillard Wild they’ll be collected, being added to the Zillard Wild Progress Bar.
In their most basic form, the Zillard Wilds themselves are standard Wilds. But unlike the Zillard King himself, these babies are ready to evolve. As Gold Coins rack up on the Progress Bar, three different Zillard Wild upgrades can be unlocked.
The first upgrade transforms the standard Zillard Wild into a stacked 1×4 symbol. The second upgrade will add a random multiplier to the Zillard Wild.
And if you unlock Upgrade 3, you’ll turn the Zillard Wild sticky, meaning it will remain locked on the reel until it produces at least one win. Another spin will follow, and additional spins will continue until they fail to produce a win.
When Zillard roars, Thunder Wilds aren’t far behind
There are also Thunder Wilds to keep track of, too. If a Zillard Wild lands on the reels without forming part of a winning combination, Zillard can roar, summoning forth Thunder Wilds that activate a guaranteed win.
Between three and six Thunder Wilds will drop on the reels in normal circumstances. If you’ve gained access to the sixth progress reel, as many as nine Thunder Wilds can appear.
You’ll find the Progress Bar on the right hand side of the reel. Once all three upgrades are in the bag, the bar transforms into a sixth reel. What’s more, only high paying symbols can land on that reel.
