Slingo – everything you need to know!
Taken a spin on Slingo yet? This unusual casino game offers a blend of action that’s part bingo, part video slot – and the two elements add up to something special. From developers Gaming Realms, Slingo games arrived at 32Red for the first time in May 2020. And from popular existing titles offering that unique Slingo twist, to a selection of all-new original outings, there’s a wide range of games to explore. If you haven’t played before, it’s not difficult – still, there are a few things you should probably know.
Each game lasts a certain amount of spins – 10 on Slingo Rainbow Riches, for instance.
The screen is made up of a five x five grid, each with a different number on it; players spin a reel below to make numbers appear, and if they match the numbers on the grid, those numbers will be marked off.
As with Bingo, the object is to mark off every number on the grid. But marking off individual lines of numbers is definitely worthwhile too; by marking off five numbers in a row, you’ll get a slingo, progressing up the bonus ladder. And the more lines you clear, the greater potential for rewards.
Extra spins are available to purchase after you’ve used your initial spins, though obviously you’ll need to pay; the cost is dependant upon factors like the state of the grid, and the potential prizes available to be won.
Slingo games also feature special items that can affect the outcome. Jokers are wild, and can be used to mark off any number on the column the Joker symbol appears on. Some Slingo games also feature Super Jokers, which can be used to mark off a number anywhere on the board.
If a Devil appears, it will block potential matches on the grid. But if a Free Spin turns up on the reel, players will have an extra spin added to their total, which might just prove crucial as the game builds to a climax…
Finally, on some Slingo games there’s a Coin symbol – if this comes up, you’ll be awarded an instant cash prize.
Same Slingo, Different themes
In addition to the basic rules mentioned above, each Slingo game has its own theme – and so its own quirks.
You can discover these for yourself by playing, but, for instance, on Slingo Centurion, achieve five slingos (that is, cleared lines of five numbers), and you’ll unlock the Reelus Maximus bonus, where three reels are filled with colossal symbols.
With Slingo games ranging from exciting originals like Slingo XXXtreme to well-known names like Slingo Monopoly, there’s plenty of choice. Ready to discover new realms in gaming? It’s time to Sling like you’re winning…
