Swansea City AFC and Aston Villa

Past sponsorships

We sponsored Aston Villa between 2006 and 2008, at a time when respected manager Martin O’Neill was overseeing the side. Indeed, at the close of the 2007-08 season, the West Midlands club finished in sixth place in the Premier League.

Having won the top tier of English football on seven occasions, and clinching the European Cup against Bayern Munich in 1972, the Villans are a real slumbering giant of English football. But while they currently play in the Championship, the Birmingham side are looking to the future under the guidance of manager and noted author Steve Bruce.

Between 2008 and 2011 32Red sponsored Swansea City, the club challenging convincingly for promotion in each of those three seasons.

With Brendan Rodgers managing the side, Swansea finally clinched promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs at the end of the 2010-11 season. The side have enjoyed a fruitful spell in the Prem ever since, then-manager Gary Monk steering the side to an eighth place finish at the close of the 2014-15 season.

We have also been proud sponsors of Preston North End, a football club with an incredible history. Founded in 1880, the club have a rich tradition of competing at the top level, winning the old first division twice in back-to-back seasons shortly after the club came into existence.
