One of Scotland’s most successful teams of all time, Rangers have an incredible history, from winning league championships at the highest level – 54 of them! – to enjoying cup glory in Europe. Their ferocious rivalry with fellow Glasgow side Celtic is famous throughout the world of sport, and the Old Firm derby remains an unmissable fixture in the Scottish Premiership.
The club play at the iconic Ibrox stadium, while notable managers include Jock Wallace, who led the club to treble glory in 1976 and ’78. Then there’s the reigns of Graeme Souness and Walter Smith; the pair enjoyed a period of complete dominance between 1989 and 1997, Souness winning three league championships on the bounce before Smith took over to win the next six.
The side have endured more difficult times in recent years, but battled back from the lower leagues to reassert themselves in the top flight, having clinched promotion three times in four years. It’s that battling spirit that has endeared the club to generations of proud football fans, and we are similarly proud to sponsor Rangers.
Derby County FC
We’re delighted to sponsor Derby County, a side whose past glories form an important chapter in the history of English football. Twice champions of the First Division, once under the brilliant Brian Clough, the Midlands team are looking to rise once more. Still looking to improve after going so close to clinching promotion recently, a place in the Premier League remains the goal for Derby. Come on you Rams!
This North Yorkshire club was founded in 1876, and have a fine tradition of footballing success, from League Cup wins to near misses in Europe, with Boro finishing as runners-up in the UEFA Cup in the 2005-06 season.
The club also captured the imagination of football fans around the globe in the 90s, when their audacious bid for Premier League glory saw the club managed by England legend Bryan Robson, while brilliant players like Italy’s Fabrizio Ravanelli and Brazil’s Juninho delivered some unforgettable moments. Currently playing in the Championship, Boro remain a footballing force to be reckoned with.
