Luke Morris

Luke Morris has been amongst the most prolific winners in Flat racing for the past 6 years. With 100+ victories in each year between 2011 and 2016 – and 2017 well on course to repeat that feat – it’s no surprise that he has been crowned All-Weather Champion jockey no less than three times. As stable jockey for Sir Mark Prescott, Morris is famed for a relentless work-ethic. His 1,000+ mounts every year since 2010 have helped lead to over £9m in career prize money, more than 1,250 winners and recent successes appear to show no signs of fatigue. 2016 saw arguably Morris’ most successful turf season, the notable high points being the Norfolk Stakes success on board Robert Cowell-trained Prince of Lir and victory in the Group 1 Prix de l’Abbaye at Chantilly with the Prescott-trained Marsha. Since his first winner with Caerphilly Gal at Southwell in November 2005, Morris has consistently delivered winners and will aim to see that continue through 2017 and beyond. Having raced to more than 60 winners already, he’ll aim for this to be the year he tops his best-ever total of 189.
