Scott Quigg v Jono Carroll – Carl Frampton’s prediction

Scott Quigg takes on Jono Carroll at the Manchester Arena on Saturday. Is King Kong Carroll set to come out on top, or can Quigg land the knockout blow?

Here’s 32Red ambassador Carl Frampton with his prediction for the fight. Find all our latest boxing odds here.

I think this will be a very good fight, I was asked about how I thought it would play out a long while ago, talking about it for the Andy Ruiz and Anthony Joshua undercard, and my opinion hasn’t really changed since then.

I think it’ll be a fantastic fight, I think it’ll be a very close fight. I think there’ll be cuts, there’ll be a lot of blood; I think both guys will meet in the middle of the ring and slug it out.

Quigg, although he’s a very fit guy, puts a lot of emphasis on each individual shot, whereas Jono just throws lots and lots of shots. The two fighters are probably on a par, fitness wise.

But I think Jono will outwork Quigg, just because he throws a little bit more. So I think Jono beats Quigg in a very close points decision.
