Just That Lord
The draw in three could make life troublesome but he can be electric out of the gates, and that will be a big positive here. He also comes here in great form, having won very easily for me at Lingfield earlier in the month. He went up 9lb on the all-weather for that win, but he is still 5lb lower on turf, and it is not as if he isn’t effective on grass. Indeed, we were only beaten ¾ length by Majestic Hero in this race last season, and he must have a leading chance in what is an admittedly very competitive race. I suppose ideally he would want it quicker, and there are showers about on Wednesday, I see.
Fearsome
He is another who comes here after a successful spell on the all-weather. His fitness is assured and he comes here in top form after just going down to Fire Fighting over this trip at Lingfield last time. That was the first time I had ridden him, and hopefully there is no reason he won’t be as effective on turf. He ran okay on it in a couple of starts last season, but he does run off a career-high mark here, I suppose.
