He ran no kind of race when last at Wetherby last time out. I don’t know if anything came to light afterwards but at least he has been dropped 5lb for it. He ran some decent races on the Flat in the summer and if he shows that kind of enthusiasm, or returns to his best hurdling form of last year, then he has chances off this mark. But he clearly has to bounce back from that poor effort last time.

She has run well on all three of her starts in bumpers, and she is improving as she gains experience, too. She ran really well when fourth at Cheltenham at the Open meeting and I think that is just about the best form on offer here. It is obviously a very competitive race, though, with lots of similarly promising, unexposed types in here but I will be disappointed if I am not in the first three at least. She is a filly we like.
