The Butcher Said
I think Warren thinks a fair bit of him, and it is easy to see why as he goes very nicely at home. I have ridden him at Warren’s and he is clearly a nice prospect, a real chaser in the making. He finished second in his only bumper in Ireland last season, and the form of that second at Punchestown has worked out well; the winner won easily on his hurdling debut last month, and the third and fourth have taken their bumpers, too. Let’s hope he can further uphold the form as well but these Sandown bumpers are often full of similarly well-regarded types, so it will be tough. It is interesting that Warren has won this race a couple of times though, as well as having a few placed horses in recent years, too.
