Vintage Folly

I love this filly and I think she comes here with a right good chance. I rode her when she won on her debut at Newcastle last season, and her best efforts since have come on soft ground, which she will get again here. Her only poor run came on a fast surface over 1m4f in France. She finished second in the Musidora and I was back on board when she ran an equally good race when runner-up at Yarmouth last time. She is the highest-rated filly in the race, is in good form at home I have sat on her a lot recently and she is really fresh and well- and hopefully she can take me one closer to that 100-winner mark!

Chelsea Lad

He has run a series of good races this season, notably his fourth in the Cambridgeshire, and he ran another solid race when stepped up to 1m2f at York last time. There are a few question marks around him – the step up to 1m4f, the soft ground and his draw in nine maybe could have been a bit better – but there is only one way to find out if these conditions will suit, which is why we are here. I think he is fairly handicapped, though.

Mable Lee

I rode her when she was second at Chester in September and she would probably have won there had she handled the bend. She has come out since and looks to have run a little bit below that form when fourth at Haydock, but at least the handicapper has eased her 1lb for that and I think the step back up to 6f on ground we know she handles will suit her. I think she has a good each-way chance.
