Josh Warrington on Lockdown
Josh Warrington rarely sits still. Whether he is training, watching his beloved Leeds United in action or being a dad to his twin daughters, the IBF featherweight champion of the world always has something going on but – like people all over the world – Warrington is adapting to the new normal.
The sporting world has ground to a halt and ‘The Leeds Warrior’ has had to put his plans of a summer unification fight with the entertaining Can Xu on the back burner for the time being.
He is, however, keeping the tools sharp so that he is ready to go as soon as the lockdown is lifted and boxing can resume. The fight with Xu may well give Josh the chance to fulfil yet another lifelong dream as the prized Ring Magazine title belt is set to be on the line when the pair do eventually clash.
After completing a solo evening training session at his new gym, Josh took a few moments to give us the lockdown lowdown on some current boxing matters – and throw out a challenge to his fellow 32Red ambassadors.
