Luke Morris: I give him a good winning chance
Sea Of Heaven
It is always a bit deflating when you are sitting and waiting for the draw in the Chester Cup, and then you get an outside stall. And that is what we have with Sea Of Heaven in 14. But you have to get on with it, and there is a lot to be positive about with Sea Of Heaven. He pretty much has everything that you are looking for in a Chester Cup winner, bar the draw. He is improving, stays really well, is a course winner, handles soft and fast ground alike, and comes here in really good form.
He has gone up 3lb for his Cesarewitch third, but I’d like to think that he is still improving – he worked really well with good horses last Friday, which gave me plenty of encouragement for this race – and Sir Mark’s horses are really beginning to blossom, as we saw with Marsha last week. I think he looks rock-solid and, given a clear run, I’ll be disappointed if I am not in the first four at the very least. I give him a good winning chance.
