He never really got into the race on his return to hurdles at Newbury last time, after falling over fences previously. But that was his first run for a few months and he is entitled to come on for it, and he would have definite claims off a 5lb higher mark than when winning for me at Exeter over 2m7f in early November. He has got winning form on soft but this decent ground suits him well. In fact, he has won on fast ground. This looks quite a competitive little race, though.
