The Worlds End
He was obviously one of our stars last season, and I was predictably gutted when he fell 2 out in the Albert Bartlett in which he was travelling powerfully for me and looking sure to take a hand in the finish. But he gained compensation with a Grade 1 win at Aintree on good ground, and we obviously hope that he develops into a Stayers’ Hurdle contender this season. He definitely needs to improve a good deal to do that, but we have been delighted with his progress at home leading up to this race and we know that he is effective at this course in testing ground. He has to give weight to some decent rivals, but I’d like to think he has the class to make his presence felt here. He is in very good form at home, though, and we have been very happy with his schooling, work and levels of fitness.
