Hatchet Jack
He has been running really well of late, and he ran another cracker for me when third at Ascot last time. He races off the same mark here, and he has a handy racing weight too, so I am hopeful of another good run. He is a lightly-raced 6yo who will be suited by the conditions and there should be more to come from him.
Socksy
She went up 6lb for winning first time out at Ayr in October and has run two solid races since. The handicapper dropped her 1lb for her run at Warwick, so every little bit helps, and I do think the slight drop back in trip will be a positive for her.
Talk Of The South
He has really come good of late, and followed up his Warwick win with a battling win in a valuable 3m5f handicap at the same track last time. I say battling but I think he probably had more in hand than the length winning margin suggested. He probably needs to have as he has gone up another 6lb for that win, but clearly you have to be positive about him in his current form. We know he stays the trip well and the ground isn’t an issue, clearly. I’m hopeful.
