Premier League preview: Sunday’s action including Spurs vs Man City

Nottingham Forest vs Leeds

Can Jesse Marsch’s side make a decent fist of it against Forest on Sunday? Leeds usually create opportunities to score, even if they’re not always able to capitalise.

In away games they’ve typically still been able to get plenty of shots on target, with four against Aston Villa most recently, five against Tottenham and six against Liverpool.

Similarly, the Tricky Trees had five shots on target against Leicester, five against Chelsea and seven against both Brentford and Liverpool in home games this season.

This could be another match with a fair few chances; you can back over 8.5 total shots on target at 49/50 in the Match and Team Shots section.

Spurs vs Man City

In each of City’s last three Premier League visits to the Tottenham Stadium, the hosts have triumphed; Pep Guardiola’s side haven’t even been able to find the net in that sequence.

With a record like that, you might be considering backing Spurs for the outright win. It might not pan out this time, however; Antonio Conte may not even be in the stadium to see this one. The Spurs coach is recovering from surgery, after having his gall bladder removed earlier this week.

Regardless, Conte’s side are hardly rock solid at home this season. Spurs have lost their last two home games in the Prem to Arsenal and Aston Villa. Liverpool are having a disappointing season, but Jurgen Klopp’s side still took all three points against this Spurs team when they visited back in November.

Tottenham have a tendency to sleepwalk through their opening 45 minutes, too. If they do that against City they may well be punished; when the two sides met last month, Spurs managed to produce a couple of atypical late first half goals to bamboozle Guardiola’s team, and still the Lilywhites ended up losing 4-2.

City are 10/13 to win; you can give that price a little extra juice by adding under 3.5 goals, for a 37/20 double.
