Five great YouTube channels where you can revisit classic sport

Let’s face it, at the moment your options for watching and indeed betting on sporting events are limited.

If you’re determined to find a punting angle, more power to you – over on the 32Red Sport site at the moment, we have Esport, table tennis and even chess if you prefer a more cerebral challenge to make a wager on.

Still, there will be plenty of you out there who can’t shake the desire for more traditional sporting action. And thanks to the wonders of the Interweb, even if we can’t bring you anything new, we can at least revisit some of the most memorable action of the past.

Fifa have announced that on their official YouTube channel, starting from Saturday they will stream classic World Cup matches from the past. In the mean time though, there’s tons more great sporting content on the video resource – here’s what we’ve found to keep ourselves occupied.

World of Boxing

For oodles of ferocious footage from classic fights, The World of Boxing is jam-packed with quality content, from Mike Tyson to Muhammad Ali. Here’s Iron Mike at his best…

UEFA

UEFA’s official channel is a great resource for highlights, player compilations and more. Here’s the standout moments of the incredible Barcelona v Paris Saint-Germain tie in the Champions League from a few years back.

Formula 1

As well as lots of great footage from current grand prix action, the F1 channel is a treasure trove of vintage action too. In the “vault” playlist, amongst other wonderful moments you’ll find a lap from Ayrton Senna that some commentators have described as the greatest ever…

Serie A

Got a taste for Italian football? Encompassing the latest Serie A action, but also featuring some stellar vintage performances, whether you’re all about Atalanta or you just want to remember a time when Milan were true masters, there’s plenty here to keep you occupied.
