Catterall has been installed as mandatory challenger for the Texan’s WBO junior welterweight title but has been out of action since last October’s victory over Ohara Davies and will keep himself sharp by taking on Miroslav Serban whilst he waits for a date for his title shot.
Undefeated Hooker defended his title for the second time against Mikkel LesPierre back in March and has established himself as one of the top 140lb fighters on the planet. Also unbeaten, Catterall is more than confident about snatching away Hooker’s belt and is counting down the days until his opportunity arrives.
