I have won on this 10yo three times, albeit the most recent victory was a while ago now, but he comes here in excellent form. He won at Leicester and Wincanton and ran very well when second last time considering he had gone up 17lb for those two successes, and in fact the handicapper has stuck him up another 2lb for it. He could well be up against it at the weights now but this is a valuable pot, conditions should suit, and he clearly comes here in good nick.
Moss On The Mill
I think his stablemate, recent Newbury winner Behind The Wire, could be the one to beat – I was on board when he won this time – but this is a big prize and Moss On The Mill comes here in good form, too. He won well at Wincanton last time, after some modest efforts previously, but the downside is he is 8lb higher in a better race. But conditions will suit and hopefully he can take another step forward.
Tinted Rose
I haven’t ridden her before but she appears to have run four solid races over hurdles since winning her bumper at Fontwell. She races off the same mark as when a fair third at Market Rasen last time, and she looks to have place claims again.
