Warrington v Galahad: Carl Frampton’s prediction

32Red ambassador Carl Frampton returns with thoughts on this weekend’s boxing action. Josh Warrington is taking on Kid Galahad – here’s how Carl thinks the fight will finish. Latest odds on Warrington v Galahad here.

I think it’s going to be an interesting fight. I’ve said all along that I fancy Josh Warrington, and the closer the fight gets, this is a strange one for me, usually a fight like this you flick between the two fighters and your mind changes all the time.

But I’ve always thought Warrington is going to win this fight. And the closer the fight gets, the even more certain I am of it. The way that I think it’s going to go is that Galahad might steal a few rounds early on, but he’ll be forced to work at a high pace that he won’t like and he won’t enjoy.

Galahad is a typical Ingle fighter, he likes it all his own way, doesn’t like it under pressure, doesn’t like someone who doesn’t want to fight how he wants to fight, and I think that Warrington will be on him for every second of every round.

I think Warrington’s going to force a late stoppage, the towel may come in, I think it’s going to be competitive for a while, but then I think it’s going to turn one-sided. The rounds that Galahad may win at the start, I think they’ll be close, but I think Warrington may wear him down, and will probably stop him late.
